Every Spring FTGI partners with the New York School of Urban Ministry to bring the ladies residing in shelters in New York City an EXTREME MAKEOVER weekend. This weekend offers women in need a chance to be ministered to and pampered at the same time.
Armed with beauty supplies for makeovers, manicures and pedicures our team takes off for a weekend of serving other women and sharing the love of Christ. Our goal is to bring dignity and love to them even if it just for a short while. The visit is short in length but great in impact. While in New York FTGI also has an opportunity to join NYSUM as they minister to the homeless on the streets of New York City as well as women living in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation house in Brooklyn. We wrap up our trip with a day of sightseeing and shopping in one of the greatest cities in the world!
Our New York City Trip offers women from the Tampa Bay area a chance to come together for an intense time of hands on serving. Although our purpose is to bring hope and healing to other women, our team always returns with a new perspective, inspired to bring the same type of ministry to our own backyard.
