We exist to facilitate spiritual growth, personal development and leadership in women and girls. We long to see every woman and girl awakened to her purpose: to run the race that God has set before her.
We know that when women are awakened to their purpose the world becomes a better place. We know that when purposeful, passionate women come together they bring solutions to the problems facing our communities and the world.
We are inspired by this quote by the 17th century poet Matthew Arnold:
If ever there comes a time when the women of the world come together purely and simply for the benefit of mankind, it will be a force such as the world has never know.
That time is NOW!
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. Hebrews 12:1
FTGI strives to accomplish our mission in the following ways:
A gathering of women and women’s groups for a time of connection and refreshment. Full day of inspirational teaching including breakout sessions for middle school and high school girls as well as college age and adult women.
A nine- week program designed to help the next generation of women be prepared for life with a healthy foundation. We are equipping and empowering girls to live to their full potential understanding their value, strength and purpose.
Women gather for one evening of food, fun, inspiration and a chance to connect with each other.
For the Girls International provides opportunities for women to use their gifts and talents to bring solutions to some of the problems facing our community.
Better Together Network luncheons are an opportunity for you to build relationships with other business owners, entrepreneurs and working women in the Tampa Bay area. Each month we offer tools to help you grow both personally and professionally. Come network with “the Girls!”
I am so glad you found us and hope you enjoy browsing our website!
Several years ago God gave us a vision of an ever-growing army of strong, beautiful and brave women who are passionate about making the world a better place. We saw women becoming free of the chains that have held them down – released to become all they were created to be. We saw a sisterhood of women supporting each other and cheering each other on. And we saw joy…lots of laughter and joy. You can read more about our story here.
In the past 7 years we have seen over 1000 women come through our events and we realize now that FTGI is part of a global awakening of God’s daughters. He has dreams for each and every one of us. They sometimes come at the strangest of times and look different from what we would have ever imagined but living out our life with purpose is where true joy is found.
We all have our own individual race to run but His purpose for us is something we all have in common.
Though it may manifest itself in different ways and through different platforms or avenues, our purpose always involves letting our light shine! He is calling us to awaken to that purpose and become passionate about reaching people with His love.
At FTGI our desire is to help mobilize women to live in the knowledge that it is in Him that we live and move and have our existence and to pass that knowledge on to the next generation.
The world can be a dark and sometimes lonely place but when we gather together and determine to shine the unfailing love of Jesus to everyone around us it becomes so much brighter.
Lots of love,

Praise & Worship Leader
Her name means “captivating,” and it is the most fitting name this young woman could possess. Rebecca shines from the inside out, particularly when she is worshiping.
As a small child, Rebecca began playing the piano, singing, and performing in various productions at her church. It was so evident even then that she loved God with every fiber of her being. In all she did, she simply sparkled with His joy. At the young age of fourteen, God opened doors for her to play larger venues, opening for Jaci Velasquez, Big Daddy Weave, and other well-known Christian artists.
She now travels to various venues to play and leads worship and blesses us by leading worship for our events.
She is a full-time English and Drama Teacher and part-time Worship Leader at LifePointe Church in Tampa but also finds time for songwriting.
Jayde comes to us from Dayspring Academy where she worked for 3 years in Administration and in the classroom. Her experience with events and systems will be a great asset to FTGI besides the fact that she is just SO nice to be around!
Jayde will be taking over many of Carina’s day-to-day responsibilities. She will be in FTGI’s Co-Working Space Monday – Friday you can email her directly at Jayde@ftgi.org with any of the questions you would normally direct to Carina. If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Jayde yet, you will be able to meet her at the GNO at our FTGI table AND you will love her!
Director of Communications
Since the time she was 12-years-old, Tori knew her heart was to help girls find their purpose. As an accomplished competitive dancer, Tori used her passion to be a positive role model for young women.
In 2014, she achieved her childhood dream of becoming Miss Florida, and she went on to place 3rd alternate to Miss America. Staying committed to glorifying God in everything she does, Tori ensured she danced to a Christian song in front of 12 million viewers during the national pageant. Today, she is the Communications Director for FTGI where she is continuing the adventure God set before to help women live out their God given potential.
Tori loves spending time with her puppy Lily Mae, eating sweet potato fries, and you can always catch-her with a cup of coffee in her hand.
Dominique is part of the writing team here at FTGI. In her own words she fell in love with this supportive community of women after attending her first Better Together luncheon last May.
When she doesn’t have her nose buried in a book, you can catch her hanging outside with her professor husband and 2-year-old twin boys. Connect with her on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook @domhrichardson or her website domhrichardson.com
