Permission to Dream

It is December and we are in full swing decking the halls and making merry – OR we are burning the candle at both ends and wearing ourselves out! I hope for your sake you are finding a balance between the two!

This past week FTGI hosted a vision boarding event, hosted by Cynda Harris of Grow Life, Inc. Cynda encouraged us to look through magazines and cut out words and pictures that jumped from the page and then assemble them onto a poster board so that we could have our vision for 2019 in front of us all year long.

Cynda also gave the ladies attending one important instruction for their board and that was to leave space on their board for God to fill in. I loved that idea!!Sometimes we can get so busy planning out our life that we forget to check in with the One who establishes our steps and holds our tomorrow in His hands.

In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.  {Proverbs 16:9 NLT}

I was too busy chatting with the ladies in the room to get my board done at the event, but I am giving myself permission this week to take a little time for myself to DREAM about 2019.

I would like to give you permission too, to take at least 30 minutes for yourself this week. Pour yourself your favorite holiday beverage – my current favorite is a Peppermint Mocha Latte – and give yourself permission to be still and visualize the things you would like to see come to pass next year. If you can give yourself a little more time (you deserve it!!) maybe you can get creative and make your own vision board. At the very least, write your dreams and vision down!

Ask yourself these questions to help you get going!

What would I like to see come to life in 2019?

Where would I like to go?

Who would I like to spend time with?

What goals do I have for my business and my personal life?

How would I like to give back or serve others next year?

Is there a particular word or phrase or bible verse I would like to use as a guide for 2019?

Lastly, share your dreams with someone special, a spouse or a friend who can help remind you what you are working towards! If you would like to share with us we would love to hear from you in the comments!

Keep dreaming,
