“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one – I in them and you in me — so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.  ~ John 17:20-24

Powerful words spoken by Jesus.  When He prayed this prayer, shortly before his death, He was praying for future believers. That would be you and me.  We know it and have heard it said, that He knew us before we were created, but how beautiful to read words that He prayed specifically for us.

These words came to life for us on Friday night of the AWAKEN conference when 180+ women stood together in unity and sang “Show me Your Glory.”Jesus gave us His glory so that we may be unified and as a result the world would know Him as being sent by the Father.

We love how at For the Girls International we can come together in unity, set aside denominations or doctrinal differences and just seek the glory of God as one. How effective the church could be, if we could concentrate on those things we have in common! What a beautiful message we could send out to those looking for peace and love in their life!

God let your glory be manifested in us that the world may know You!

Open up the heavens, we want to see You, open up the floodgates a mighty river, flowing from your heart, filling every part of your praise!
